Kelton's Hard Cast

Kelton went to the Orthopedic Surgeon today to get his hard cast on. We saw the Ortho for litteraly 3 minutes. We were however able to find out some great news. Kelton will be in the hard cast for only 5 weeks. It will come off the day before Halloween. The doctor sees no reason to worry about any long-term effects, says the break was clean and rarely are there any complications from a break like Kelton's. They took more ex-rays and this time we were able to see them. The break is just below the knee and does go all the way through the Tibia. Kelton will be able to get around a bit better with the hard cast on and the Doctor even said he could put pressure on the cast and even stand or walk on it without displacing the bone if he wants to. He said that kids Kelton's age generally don't, instead they just want to scoot or crawl around, but that is better than being in one place all day. Oh, and the cast is waterproof, so no worries about bathing and stuff, heck he could even go swimming. Check out this movie I made about the Keltster.
