We have been big time slackers this time around. We had good intentions of sending out a birth announcement to everyone just like we always have. It feels like we are two times busier now that we have 3 children. So here is the digital version of Ryker's annoncement.

First Bath
Ryker had his first bath at home today. He liked the comfort and warmth of the water, as I'm sure it reminded him of the womb.

Coming Home From the Hospital
Today we brought Ryker home from the hospital. Ryker got his first professional photo taken today before we left and as you can see was not too happy he had to change his clothes. We have been preparing for a few weeks to have 5 people living in a 2 bedroom apartment by moving things around, trying to make room. Now we get to find out how well we did.

Ryker's Birthday!
Today Ryker James Sandgren was born at 9:57 AM in Sandy, Utah. All went very well with labor and delivery. Amy's water broke at around 4 in the morning, making labor a total of about 6 hours. I almost missed the birth as I was down in the cafeteria getting breakfast. I was gone for about 20 minutes and when I left it didn't seem that the delivery was going to happen anytime soon. As soon as I arrived back at the room they were prepping Amy for delivery. A couple of pushes and Ryker was out. We are so happy for the new addition to our family. We love you Ryker!

4th of July Parade
Every 4th of July our neighborhood does a morning parade. It seems to become a bigger deal each year. We even have our own police car lead out in front. We have floats, classic cars, 4-wheelers, horses (okay just one horse), a million kids on bicycles, scooters and battery operated vehicles. This year Braden and Kelton rode in their Jeep. After a long morning in the sun (the hottest day of the year at 102 degrees), the boys came home and crashed. After the nap we took them to the movie Wall e, and then to aunt Steph and uncle Bob's for a BBQ and to watch the fireworks from South Mountain.
